Jim Saunders

After graduating I attended Concordia College and eventually graduated from Carthage College - Kenosha. From there, I entered Concordia Seminary - Springfield, Il. I spent two years as a Parish Pastor and then entered the Air Force as a Chaplain. After 22 years, my fun meter was pegged and I retired in 2001. I went back to school, earning a second Masters degree in Counseling and Human Services. After graduation I went to work as an addictions specialist becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor. In that career I worked with a variety of populations including soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan at Ft Carson. In 2011 I was awarded my Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology and now teach at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in the same program I graduated from in 2001.
